Job Summary

The position is responsible for managing all activities related to importation including negotiating for FX rates, ensuring proper importation documents, and insurance coverages, and coordinating with Logistics for cargo collection from piers.

Directly reports to CEO & COO

Job Responsibilities

  • Checks and response to emails with regard to importation orders;
  • Prepares and files all importation documents;
  • Coordinate with import brokers for all incoming shipments;
  • Coordinates with Logistics for all direct deliveries;
  • Monitor the arrival of incoming shipments and ensures that original shipping documents are complete;
  • Checks computation of duties and taxes before the arrival of shipments and instructs the bank for account debiting;
  • Secures Management approval for FX Rates, duties, and taxes for appropriate bank debits/payments;
  • Checks and emails insurance applications for all incoming shipment
  • Addresses all requests by Business Development Officer for COA, and HALAL Certificate which will be requested from the supplier;
  • Performs other tasks as directed from time to time.

Job Qualifications:

  • With Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or any related course
  • With at least 1-2 years of working experience as an Import Associate in a Food/Chemical Industry
  • Has good time-management skills that go hand-in-hand with strong organizational capabilities and with strong negotiation skills
  • With a high degree of integrity and can handle confidential information
  • Has excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Can work well at a different levels of organization
  • Can work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to be assigned in Pasay City
