Engineering Drafter (Engineering Draftsman), LE-7

The U.S. Mission in Manila is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Engineering Drafter (Engineering Draftsman) in the U.S. Agency for Global Media located in Tinang, Concepcion, Tarlac.

Duties:

Provides engineering draftsman services for United States Agency for Global Media Philippines Transmitting Station under the general direction of the Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Supervisor. Drafts As-Built Drawings of all compound areas and facility structures. Prepares specifications, cost estimates, and purchase requisitions for materials and labors necessary in connection with the facilities maintenance and special engineering projects. Performs as General Engineering inspector for contracted construction works. Create 3D Mechanical drawings in AutoCad software.

Requirements:

EDUCATION: Completion of two years post-secondary study in mechanical, electrical, or architectural drafting/design is required.

EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience in preparing specifications, drawings, and cost estimates using AUTODESK’s AutoCAD is required.

LANGUAGE:

English: Good Working Knowledge (Speaking/Reading/Writing)
Tagalog: Fluent (Speaking/Reading/ Writing).
English and Tagalog language proficiency may be tested.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Prepares shop drawings and other miscellaneous drawings in AUTODESK’s AutoCAD. This includes Electrical, Civil and Mechanical Schematic diagrams. This may be tested.
